How to maintain sharpening stone:
- >Do not soak in water for long periods of time.
- After use, wipe it dry. Leaving the whetstone wet or wrapped in a wet towel could soften it and reduce its durability.
- >Do not leave the whetstone outdoors, or in direct sunlight.
- That could lead to weathering or cracking.
- >Do not subject the whetstone to rapid drying.
- Placing it somewhere where it is directly exposed to wind, for example near a fan, could cause cracking.
- >Store it at room temperature.
- Leaving the whetstone outdoors in a closed car or anywhere else that might experience abnormally high temperatures could cause it to crack.
- >Do not expose it to hot water.
- Extreme temperature differences could make the whetstone crack.
- >Do not clean with detergents or the like.
- These materials could cause qualitative changes and impair the whetstone's sharpening capability.
- >Do not use a dishwasher or dryer on this product.
- Sudden temperature changes could cause it to crack, and knocks could cause it to chip.
